@X084@X05.@X08243@X03 Radio Control Detonators
@X08In the movies@X05,@X08 every terrorist or criminal uses a radio controlled
detonator to set off explosives@X05.@X08 With a good radio detonator@X05,@X08 one can be
several miles away from the device@X05,@X08 and still control exactly when it explodes@X05,@X08
in much the same way as an electrical switch@X05.@X08 The problem with radio detonators
is that they are rather costly@X05.@X08 However@X05,@X08 there could possibly be a reason that
a terrorist would wish to spend the amounts of money involved with a RC @X05(@X08radio
control@X05)@X08 system and use it as a detonator@X05.@X08 If such an individual wanted to
devise an RC detonator@X05,@X08 all he would need to do is visit the local hobby store
or toy store@X05,@X08 and buy a radio controlled toy@X05.@X08 Taking it back to his@X05/@X08her abode@X05,@X08
all that he@X05/@X08she would have to do is detach the solenoid@X05/@X08motor that controls the
motion of the front wheels of a RC car@X05,@X08 or detach the solenoid@X05/@X08motor of the
elevators@X05/@X08rudder of a RC plane@X05,@X08 or the rudder of a RC boat@X05,@X08 and re@X05-@X08connect the
squib or rocket engine igniter to the contacts for the solenoid@X05/@X08motor@X05.@X08 The
device should be tested several times with squibs or igniters@X05,@X08 and fully
charged batteries should be in both he controller and the receiver @X05(@X08the part
that used to move parts before the device became a detonator@X05)@X08@X05.@X08
